The Deer Hunt

Cedar 31 Mile Relay

This year I decided to do the Cedar Relay.  Our team had a total of 5 runners and we ran a total of 31 miles.  I think my 2 legs added up to be about 8 total.  My first leg was all downhill down Right Hand Canyon.  Could hardly walk for about a week after that one!  My second leg was on Westview and was about 3 miles.

It was getting hot at this point.  Around 10 am or so.  Thought I was barely moving, but my split turned out to be pretty fast to my surprise!

Hawaii!! August 2011

Our good friends Chris and Katye are lucky enough to have a timeshare they get to use every year or two.  It was their 10 year anniversary this year and they wanted to go somewhere fun and invited us along for the ride!  We decided to go to the Big Island of Hawaii and check it out!  We stayed in Kona.

The first day we decided we wanted to go cliff jumping into the ocean. Kinda scary but fun!

24th of July

We ran the enterprise fun run again this year. Good times. Mik'L decided to join us too. We actually placed in our age group for the 10k :)

Austin decided to join us this year as well and decided Enterprise is a lot of fun on the 24th! Austin and Luke ran the 5k

For my Birthday this year we decided to hike Kannarraville Falls. It turned out to be a really cool hike Behind waterfall #1

Girls Camp 2011

Girls Camp this year was on a ward level. Luckily we are friends with some people that own a cabin in Brian Head.

Ragnar!!

We decided to run the Wasatch Back Ragnar last June. Our team name was the Ragnafarians! Hence the Rasta wig :)

Katye, Anna, and Me after we were finished running and waiting for the rest of the team.

My leg was a total of 20 miles. I started the team out with a 7 mile run in the freezing cold morning in Logan.

After our van was done running and the boys took over we headed for a place to sleep. We found a cheeseburger joint to grab some food and then headed to a high school I think to sleep. We got our sleeping bags out and headed for the grassy field. It was freezing cold and I didn't get any sleep! So exhausted after running 15 miles and no sleep I woke up to run my last leg of 5 miles at 5 a.m. I had blisters on both feet after that one :( It was a little bit of a rough experience for me. After running a marathon I thought it would be easier, but it was totally different and harder in some ways (lack of sleep, didn't train as much, lasted way longer than 4.5 hrs).

I think our team finished in around 32 hours or so. It was a good experience. Would I do it again? Probably not. Maybe. It can probably be related to childbirth. After long enough you forget how painful it is and do it again :)

Comedy show in Vegas

Ok so I know that these pics are from over a year ago and I started this post a long time ago! I have decided I'm going to try and do better at blogging and I need to get caught up for the last year that I have been slacking!

These pics are from a comedy show we went to in Las Vegas last February! It was Ray Ramano and Kevin James. Luke loves Kevin James so I surprised him with the tickets for Christmas.

So, I decided to be brave and try out being a brunette :) Not sure if I will stay this way for long or enjoy the gray looking regrowth. We will see how it goes. A good change I guess

Finally caught up!

Thanks to work being slow today, my shift got canceled. I must admit I have been hoping for this day for quite sometime now :) So I decided to spend the day getting caught up on my blog! Yay! It only took a few hours and about 6 posts or so haha. Now my goal is to stay caught up and not get 6 months behind again! So if you have been missing us the last 6 months, now you can see why I have been too busy to blog!

Ugly Club Christmas Reunion

I only get to see all of these girls about once a year anymore now that we live in different cities/states. It's always good to see each other and catch up a little. Denell is living in Arizona so she is the hardest to keep in touch with. Mik'L and Rakel are both in St. George so it shouldn't be that hard, but for some reason it is. Life is just busy I guess. We got together for a little lunch at Mik'L's house. It's always good to see them!

The twighlight gift....comes with both Jacob and Edward faces depending on who you prefer and massage oils of course (I have to admit I was really sore from working out and I did have to steal this gift from them)

And of course...the Buddha statue that Luke Geddes just had to have, along with the shot glasses!

Some of the other great gifts included the bump it to give volume to your hair and the padded underwear to give volume to your booty! We all know I didn't need those!

Vegas Baby!

We went to Vegas with our friends in November. It was a blast! We went down on Friday night and went to Hard Rock Cafe since some of them had never been there. We did lots of eating, shopping, and just had a blast hanging out. The weather wasn't as good as we were hoping, but we did get to enjoy the hot tubs at least :) We ate so much we were literally sick. We tried a new place called Hash House A Go Go. We will definitely be going back to that one.

Chris is into pawn shops and that show "pawnstars" so we went to the shop where that show is filmed. It was pretty cool.

We wanted to go see a show. Tickets for Mystere by Cirque De Solei were on sale so we decided to go to that. It was pretty cool with all the tricks that they do. I don't think I would go see it again though. Maybe one of their other shows would be cool to see. It was pretty weird.

After that we came home refreshed and rejuvinated and felt like would could survive life after all :) well at least I did. Thanks guys! I definitely needed a getaway!
